Storyboard Text

  • Scene: Introduction
  • Scene: the overview
  • Scene: start the physics
  • make a funny but not too funny intro to both get the watchers attention but to also sound like you know what youre saying so they dont leave since they are looking for an entertaining video on how drums work, use constantly changing but relevant images to keep their attention there by giving them different things to look at
  • Scene: tuning
  • still keeping all the ideas from last time by lowering them a bit give an overview of the subject in a very brief way to convince them its about physics and not some stupid video on drums
  • Scene: drum shell shapes and sizes
  • start talking about how the drums produce the sounds they produce and how the snare makes a different sound, make a weird sound that isn't very accurate for entertainment when referring to what sound it makes but then give an actual explanation on why
  • Scene:
  • explain how tuning a drum is different from regular tuning and how it changes the resonant frequency instead of the pitch to make different sounds, add a diagram of how it looks like for better understanding even if you don't point out exactly how it works since you're teaching physics watchers can use logic to figure out by looking at the diagram.
  • start to explain how the shell of a drum affects its sound due to soundwaves and depth/area but don't go into too much detail as to confuse the audience on the physics.
