- My lord, his throat is cut; That I did for him.
- Macbeth believes that he will be king if it is his fate, but he doesn't want to use his free will to take the reign from Duncan. The witches are using foreshadowing to show what is going to happen to Macbeth in the future. In this moment Macbeth decides he is going to let fate decide what he is going to do.
- Act IV Scene i Line 90-94
- Be lion-mettled, proud, and take no care Who chafes, who frets, or where conspires are:Macbeth shall never vanqushed be until Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill Shall come against him
- Macbeth kills Duncan to make sure that he follows his fate, but doesn't realize that it was his free will that caused him to kill Duncan
- Act V Scene V Line 16
- The witches tell Banquo and Macbeth that Banquo's kids will inherit the throne. This leads Macbeth into tell the murderers to kill Banquo and Fleance. This is actually his free will that caused him to commit the crime.
- Act V Scene viii Line 55
- Th' usurper's cursed head. The time is free.
- The apparations tell Macbeth his fate which makes him interpret that he is going to be safe. This causes his decision making to be weighted because he thinks nobody can stop him. His death is now his fate because he was too selfish.
- It is Lady Macbeth fate to commit suicide because she acted all big and tough when the killing of Duncan was happening and convinced Macbeth to kill him but after the fact she was worrying a lot and feeling guilty so her fate was to get the punishment she gave to another.
- The queen, my lord, is dead.
