Story of a Food AtomLiam DodsonFood: TacoAtom: Oxygen
Oh no my taco, I was rushing to get to comiccon, and I dropped it! Oh well, I still have to get there.
A wild elephant found the taco and ate it.The taco turned out to have a oxygen atom in it. Which went into the elephant's body.
OOOH, a taco, don't mind if I do!*eating noises*Delicious!
A Few Minutes Later...

Unfortunately, the elephant died later that day (of old age) right over three mushrooms. These mushrooms are decomposers, and they decomposed the elephant's body with the oxygen atom still in it. And so after about a year the elephant's body was fully decomposed, letting the oxygen atom loose into the soil.
O
After the elephant decomposed the oxygen was caught in a forest fire on a hot day. The oxygen atom was next to two hydrogen atoms during the fire and they reacted to form water. This water molecule then turned into steam and evaporated.

The water (with the oxygen atom) evaporated and then fell down as rain onto a plant.

Our water molecule rained down onto the plant. It was absorbed into the leaf through the stomata and used in photosynthesis to make food for the plant. But luckily our original oxygen atom survived as a byproduct.
