Meanwhile, a few miles down from the road at my house, I'm preparing to go on a run. Since the rock is supposedly filming a movie near my house, I decide to go on a new route for my run to try and scope out the situation.
As I start down the road to the farm, I take a deep breath. Its a nice day and the air is clear. As I do this, my cells perform aerobic cell respiration with the oxygen they've just been supplied. I feel refreshed as the mitochondria of my cells uses this process to make ATP for energy on the run.
As I near the farm, I begin to run faster and use up more energy. My breathing suffers as a result and my cells turn to anaerobic respiration to make up for the loss, specifically in my muscles. As this fermentation occurs, lactic acid builds up in my cells until I eventually have to stop. Thankfully, there is lots of good oxygen around when I stop. I take deep breaths. What I don't know is that oxygen was made by the trees planted by the rock and helped by his CO2! The wind brought the tree's oxygen over to my side of the farm, connecting me to The Rock.
