  • Burn more fuel!
  • Economy is going up!
  • One century later...
  • Before scientist argue that climate change is happening due to human activities, we, the humans used to improve our life without taking care of the earth. For example, burning fossil fuels to generate energy and use it to generate electricity, to power transportation, and to utilise for industrial processes.
  • We also cut many trees so the wood can be burned or used to make things such as buildings, furniture and paper. Large area of trees were removed so that the land can be used to grow crops or to provide places where farm animals can graze.
  • Help us!
  • Humans kept doing these things for a century...
  • Humans now realised that during fossil fuels are burnt, it releases nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere which contributes to the formation of smog and acid rain. When we inhale smog, it irritates our respiratory system, increasing the risk of serious heart and lung diseases. Acid rain kills trees and leaches aluminium. That aluminium may be harmful to plants as well as animals. It also removes minerals and nutrients from the soil that trees need to grow.
  • Cutting down trees releases trees' stored carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. In addition, if we do not replant the cut trees, we cannot remove excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. This contributes to the greenhouse effect and accelerates climate change which can destroy animals' inhabitable places.
  • If climate change and global warming continues, there would encounter more frequent wildfires, longer periods of drought in some regions, and strengthened tropical storms. If you want to avoid that, you must act little by little to stop global warming and climate change.
