The life of a water particle by Taylor Chaney
I am a puddle trying to change into a solid. The process of changing from a liquid to a solid is called freezing. In order for me to do that the temperature has to be below freezing which is 31 degrees fahrenheit. This is called freezing point. It is currently 27 degrees fahrenheit so the conditions are just right for liquids like me to freeze and become a solid.
I am now an Ice cube wanting to become a liquid again. The process of a solid becoming a liquid is called melting. In order to do that I have to melt so we have to add heat. The melting point is anything above 32 degrees fahrenheit. With the sun being out that will help me transfer to a liquid faster. It is now 43 degrees fahrenheit so it is easy for me to transfer into a liquid
I am back as a liquid and I want to turn into a gas. For me to do that I have to use warm air to evaporate and turn into a gas.
I am now gas but I want to finish the whole cycle. I want to go back to liquid. For me to go back to liquid I have to turn into condensation so I need to use the warm air to transfer back.
I have now gone through all the cycles of switching from solids, liquids, to gasses. Now I can repeat it in any order I want.
