- I wonder how architecture has evolved over the years and what we still use from back then.
- This is the Pyramid of Giza, the most famous period in Ancient Egypt. This was built from 2550-2490 B.C
- Studying pyramids like this help us learn about what architecture was like long ago and collective learning.
- Wow! Architecture sure has evolved since this!
- A lot of the things we in present day come from Greek times. We use collective learning from them every day!
- Ancient Greece was a very important period in the evolution of architecture. Ancient Greek's architecture was known for there large columns, temples and palaces.
- So columns came from Greece?
- Roman times were crucial in the developing of architecture. The Colesseum was made in 80 AD by Emperor Vespasian. It was the first ampitheater and it inspired the sports stadium we see today.
- That's cause it is! The Colosseum was made in Rome and it was an amphitheater. It had a curved roof and tiered seats, and was the inspiration for the fist ever sports stadium.
- WowwwwwwwThis looks like a sports stadium!
- Statues and Sculptures were made in the Roman and Greek periods.
- Wow!
- Statues were very important in Greek and Roman times. They often made statues and sculptures of gods and important people.
- Wow! So we used styles and techniques from so long ago!? There is so much we've learnt and used in present day from so long ago! This very building was inspired by one made thousands of years ago!
