  • British Ship! What are they doing here. We don't have anything!
  • This is bad!
  • Please! I'm just a merchant. I didn't do anything!
  • Tie them up and look for the others.
  • What do you want from us? Where are we going?
  • You will work for our navy.
  • Impressment is where British ships would come across American trading ships. It was either in the sea or on a British trading dock.
  • The Embargo Act is being released because of british actions.
  • The British soldiers would board the ship. They would capture the Americans and ties them up.
  • What does this act do to help?
  • This act will stop all our trade with Britain.
  • The soldiers would bring them onto their boat. They would force the Americans to work in their British Navy.
  • This isn't right!
  • Americans should be fighting the British!
  • The U.S. didn't like what the British was doing. It was unfair so in response the U.S. released the Embargo Act.
  • This act stopped trade with the British. The U.S. closed off their ports to the British trading ships and stopped sending things to Britian.
  • There were certain people who didn't like the decisions made. They were called War Hawks. They were politicians who wanted to steer the U.S. towards war with British.
