Which provinces were most affected and Which age groups were most affected?

Gauteng had 58% of cases, Western Cape had 13%, and KwaZulu-Natal had 8%. The outbreak was nationwide, but these provinces were hit the hardest.
Neonates (babies up to 28 days old) accounted for 43% of cases. Adults aged 15–49 years made up 32%of cases, and women represented 55% of all patients.
