- Exposition
- Mr and Mrs White live in a Villa with their son Herbert. It was a cold, stormy night.
- Go answer the door father.
- All of a sudden, there was a knock at the door
- Rising Action
- The Sargent Brought them a Monkey's Paw that he didn't want.
- The White's wished for 200 pounds.
- No Father! Let's wish for 200 pounds!
- Hmmmm.. that's strange I don't think I want it.
- Hello Whites, I have brought you a Magic Monkey's Paw. I think it is bad luck. You can make a wish with it.
- Whoever had the paw gets three wishes
- Rising Action
- The next day, Herbert goes to work. Then, a person from his work told them some sad news.
- BUT OUR POOR HERBERT IS DEAD!
- 200 POUNDS? OUR WISH CAME TRUE
- Your son, Herbert got caught in the machinery at work and he passed away. We are giving you 200 pounds for condolence money.
- I'm sad about Herbert. Wait! There are still 2 more wishes with the paw!
- Climax
- Mrs. White still couldn't deal with the fact that her son died.
- What are you doing? get to bed.
- She wishes for Herbert to be alive again. Then they hear a knock at the door.
- Falling Action
- Someone is at the door, it must be Herbert!
- No don't answer it! Whoever is at that door is crazy! Give me that monkey's paw and | will use our last wish to get him to leave.
- Resolution
- The knocking imeadiatly stopped.
- Their wish for 200 pounds came true but they were sad that their son had to die to receive it.
- Mrs White realised that she can Wish for Herbert to be alive again
- They run downstairs to find the paw.
- Mr White uses the last wish to get the person that is knocking on the door to go away.
- They opened the door and there was no one in sight. The rainy dark neighbourhood was completly empty.
