The first style of architecture was the prehistoric style. It came around 11,600 BCE to 3,500 BCE. Humans built stone circles, mounds, Megaliths and other structures that confuse today's archeologists. The prehistoric builders moved stone and earth to make geometric shapes.
this will be good for homework...
The Egyptians constructed and came up with, pyramids, shrines, and also temples. Houses were made out of sun baked mud. Also the Nile rivers flooding destroyed most of the homes, so there pretty hard to find. This style lasted from around 3,050 BCE to 900 BCE.
so much facts
Architecture in Greek used columns to make temples that they used for their gods. Three different types of architecture the Greeks used were, Ionic, Corinthian, and Doric. This style lasted from about 850 BCE to CE 476.
Roman architecture built off of Greek architecture using columns. The Romans also used arches, domes, temples, and amphitheaters. Most of which they invented. This style lasted from 527 to 565.
Gothic architecture was used to build taller buildings. Gothic architecture used sculpting, like gargoyles. It also used arches, but pointed, flying buttresses, which are arches supporting walls. This style is invented by Abbot Suger. It lasted from 1100 to 1450.
