  • It was December, and the narrator heard taps on his chamber door Like any other person, he said it was "some late visitor, and nothing more."

  • It's the wind .. Lenore is that you?
  • The tapping came several times before the raven appeared.

  • "What are you called in hell?!"
  • The narrator started to get impatient and mad.
  • nevermore!
  • His friends are probably gone... where's Lenore!?
  • The narrator figured out that all the bird says is "nevermore." He thought it had something to do with Lenore, his love who is gone.

  • Leave! Bird or devil, leave!
