- RISING ACTION
- Oh my! What shall I do?
- I want to spend my whole life with you. I love you Helena!
- Uh-oh
- The Queen of the Amazons will wed the Duke of Athens. Demetrius and Lysander, two young guys, encounter Hermia at the celebration. Both males develop feelings for her. Despite her love for Lysander, her father forces her to wed Demetrius.
- Act 4
- CLIMAX
- Zzzzzz
- AHHH!
- Hermia leaves with her beloved Lysander after being coerced into marrying Demetrius. Before she does, though, she shares her idea with her friend Helena, who has a crush on Demetrius. Helena informs him in an effort to get his approval. They all end up chasing each other into the woods.
- Act 5
- FALLING ACTION
- What is going on here?!
- A fairy by the name of Puck attempts to end the love triangle in the woods but instead causes Lysander fall in love with Helena. He causes Demetrius to fall in love with her as he attempts to solve the problem. Hermia is perplexed since no one likes her anymore.
- Denouement
- Puck separates them all in order to prevent them from murdering each other despite the guys fighting over Helena and Hermia being angry with Helena. Once they are sound asleep, Puck breaks the charm and restores the previous state of affairs.
- Jeez that was a close one!
- The lovers are discovered by the Duke as he rides through the woodland. He is perplexed after learning their tale, but extends an invitation for them to get married during his wedding ceremony.
- Everyone ends up content and married. The play Pyramus and Thisbe is played, and Puck instructs the audience to treat the entire performance as though it were a dream.
