- This is Silvey Chan. Silvey Chan is a 12 year-old Chinese girl who lives in 45 Grey's Avenue. The adults in her family are her Ma,Ba, and Ah Yeh which is her Grandfather. She has 4 siblings, Two sisters and Two brothers. Her two brothers are Dai Gor and Day-Day and her two sisters are Soong and Chuen. She has long, straight, black hair, eyes that are shaped as an almond and she is 5'2.

- Since the day of the Wellesley Street school closing, Silvey still felt sad about it. Why the school closed down was that the government wanted the school buildings for war-use. They were given a choice of schools that the students would transfer. One of them were Beresford street school. And so, Silvey decided to go there because her favorite teacher, Miss Rudkin was transferring to Beresford Street School.

- One day, It was Silvey's day to serve the shop. A guy who was skinny and tall entered the shop. He helped himself by getting the last packet of chun pei mui which are tangerine peel-flavored preserved plums. After 5 days, her two sisters said that someone was asking for her meaning that it was the guy who brought the chun pei mui. They met again at the shop and his name was Sun Tong but everyone calls him Sunny.
