It's about the Charles Darwin video we watched in class, it isn't to hard.
Oh gosh.
Ohhh.
Great, now he's going to rant about what he saw in the video.
It all started when the fossils he brought from travelling gave him a clue of evolution.
He came across tartus's and saw that they had different characteristics in different climates.
He's one of the most influential scientists in history!
CHARLES DARWIN! The man who came up with the theory of evolution by natural selection.
Okay, since when did that turtle get here?
Darwin knew that there is a struggle for survival in nature. He came to the conclusion that the strongest is not always the survivor. In fact, it would be the best who adapts to the environment.
Yup, and he got that idea from Thomas Malthus.
YEAH! They will be more successful at reproduction if they have a trait that helps them survive. Then, their variations will become a new species! It's all coming back to me.
But, didn't Alfred Wallace come up with this theory?
We finally know that evolution is a fact after his awesome theory!
Yup, you're right. He did, but Darwin is credited for coming up with the theory because of the book he published called 'The Origin of Species' which made him gain popularity.
