  • What is going on the Mexican government gave me a land grant for 800 families!
  • I'm going to have a talk with the Mexican Officials.
  • Who are you?
  • Haden Edwards brought Anglo settlers with him, so they could live in Nacogdoches, but by the time they all made it there, they found settlers already been living there. The Fredonian Rebellion was attempted by Texas settlers to leave from Mexico.

  • Yes I need you to go and see the Anglo settlers in Texas.
  • The government for Mexico told Mier Y Teran to go and see the conditions in Texas past the Fredonian Rebellion. When Mier Y Teran made it to Nacogdoches, he wrote an important letter to the Mexican president, warning him that settlers were going to fight against Mexico.

  • Does anybody have any resolutions or statements?
  • Lets support Santa Anna and other Federalists!!
  • Lets support the tyrannical Centralist government.
  • Texas fled fighting in the Turtle Bayou, and got resolutions and statement of their opinions. Juan Bradburn was sent to Anauhuac to give the Law of April 6, 1830.

  • Got it. "We want immigration from the United States to open up".
  • Texans wanted Mexico to allow immigration from the U.S. and cancel the Law of April 6. Mexico was in its civil war, and there was a special meeting that Texans were in called the Conventions in 1832 and 1833.

  • You are not taking this cannon!!!
  • If you want the cannon why don't you come and take it.
  • The Texas Revolution was fought when the citizens of Gonzales refused to give up a small cannon to the Mexican army. When the Texas militia flag said "Come and Take It" that's when, the Texas Revolution had officially begun.

  • We surrender and we will leave Texas.
  • You and the Mexican army is ordered to leave Texas.
  • Martin ordered the Mexican army and their leader to surrender and to leave Texas. When Texans had their victory many people thought it was over, but what they didn't know was that Santa Anna would come back.

  • Men I'm so disappointed about our previous defeats, we need to do better!
  • Sir we will win! We just need some practice and time.
  • Santa Anna was embarrassed from his last defeats, so he was ready to take back the Alamo. Sam Houston argued whether San Antonio should be abandoned or not while others like William B Travis, James Bowie, and Juan Seguin defended the fort.

  • Susanna, I need you to go warn the Texans about the Mexican army and what they can do.

  • After Susanna's husband died, Santa Anna told her to go tell the Texans how powerful the Mexican army was, so she went. Santa Anna felt that he had achieved a complete victory, after the Battle of the Alamo.

  • I elect Sam Houston as General of Texas Army.
  • I elect Lorenzo de Zavala as Vice President of Texas.
  • I elect David Burnet as President of Texas.
  • The new constitution had the idea of popular sovereignty that all political power comes from the people. After learning about the Alamo, Texans wrote the constitution of 1836.

  • Urrea evacuate all Texas prisoners.
  • Sam Houston told Fanin to evacuate his troops and retreat to the Guadalupe River as the Mexican army moved towards Goliad. By the time Fanin heard, it was too late. General Urrea captured a Texan force of 350 men.

  • We need to train hard for the Battle of San Jacinto. Are you guys with me?

  • Sam Houston spent two weeks training 900 men before setting up in the heavily wooded area of the Buffalo Bayou. Santa Anna's army had been in pursuit and chose to camp nearby, it had around 1,000 soldiers.

  • David Burnet and Santa Anna both signed the Treaty of Velasco, after the Battle of San Jacinto. This treaty helped end the Texas Revolution.
