- This story takes place in the 1930s about the Logan's family in a small town called Great Faith Mississippi in a town called strawberrywith very racist people that are not only discriminating them but also trying to get rid of them.
- CLIMAX
- Mr Wallace and his brother burn some of the black men in the community now these man are called the night me, Mr Wallace also lets kids dance and drink outside of his store.
- FALLING ACTION
- Mr granger and Mr Wallace walk into mamas school and fire her because she is teaching about slavery and the discrimination of black people, and that shes not teaching the ciriculum.
- RESOLUTION
- Mr. Granger is angling to buy the Logans land and is mad cause he thinks the Logan's don't remember there place in life cause they are not rich.
- Tj comes home to the Logan's and tells them he broke into the Wallace's and stole a gun with the Melvin brothers but gets beat up by them cause he said he was going to tell. They try to get Tj home but the Wallace's are waiting at the house and want to kill Tj .
- Tj"s lynching is forgotten about when a huge fire starts in the cottens fields, both black and white people stop what there doing to put out the fire. but Stacey later figures out that Papa started the fire to resolve Tj's lynching.
