  • King Midas was a greedy king who loved gold and money. He was granted one wish by a satyr, he says "Gold, I want everything that I touch to turn into gold!" The King quickly discovers that his food turns to gold. He can't eat and turns his beloved daughter into a gold statue. He begged the gods to set him free of his foolish wish. He does what they instruct him and ends up with two donkey ears so he will never forget his lesson. Be grateful for what you have.
  • King polydectes wanted to marry Perseus mother. Danae did not want to be forced into marriage, so Perseus defended his mother. The King challenged Perseus to bring back the head of Medusa to him, in exchange he wouldn't pursue Danae. Perseus went looking for Medusa with the help of the gods and the weapons they gave him. After finding Medusa laying on a bed of stone knapping, he obtained her head and placed it in his silver bag. After returning to the King's castle, he pulled out Medusa's head from the silver bag and turned the king to stone.
  • Zeus was upset because he thought the humans did not deserve fire for warmth and cooking. So, he made a beautiful girl named Pandora. When Pandora and Zeus got married Zeus gave Pandora the box of curiosity. He told her not to open the box, but she let curiosity get the best of her. And she opened it and let out Envy, Greed, Sickness, Disease. Suddenly she closed the box very quickly and got them all back in and trapped Despair in. So, Hope survived. She thought that no one would know that she opened it but Zeus knew.
