- The Renaissance was a time period from roughly 1300-1600, and it consisted of a lot of historical events and people. Some of the historical people from this time period include Leonardo da Vinci and Galileo Galilei. A few historical events from this time were the painting of the Mona Lisa and the Protestant Reformation.

- Leonardo da Vinci was a famous painter, scientist, and mathematician. He was described as a "true Renaissance Man". He painted many things, like the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper. He had a rival, who was also a painter, named Michelangelo.
- Michelangelo
- Michelangelo was a famous painter and sculptor, however, he was a rival of another painter named Leonardo da Vinci. His most famous sculpture is the Statue of David, resembling David from David and Goliath. His most famous painting was the Ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, which took him years to finish, and had to lay on his back on hardwood.
