Storyboard Text

  • Joe was a normal average guy. Everyday, he woke up, he got ready for work, he took a run in the park, he went to work, he got out of work, he did things with friends and then he went to sleep. However, Joe had some unhealthy habits.
  • Joe really liked fast food. It was one of his vices. It was almost everyday that he would sneak under the radar and go to the local fast food place to grab a bite to eat. Sometimes, he ended up going a little overboard... which eventually started the trouble in his life.
  • Joe one day began to have terrible chest pain. He began to felt fatigued and dizzy from time to time, he even began to gain weight and his feet and legs were beginning to swell. Joe felt horrible, so Joe went to the doctor to figure out what was wrong.
  • Joe went to see the doctor the day of his symptoms. Over the course of a couple of days, Joe got many tests done to determine the cause of his pain. In the end, Joe was diagnosed with high blood pressure resulting from early stages of congestive heart failure due to his unhealthy diet. Joe was reasonably scared, however his doctor assured him he was still able to make a change in his life. Joe was prescribed Lisinopril shortly after his visit.
  • Joe was explained to by his pharmacist that Lisinopril is an ACE (angiotensin-converting enzyme) inhibitor that helps to treat his congestive heart failure and high blood pressure. The drug actively blocks a substance that makes blood vessels tighten, leading to relief. Joe was worried, and had many doubts about his future, but his pharmacist assured him that it would only get better from here. He answered any questions Joe had, such as what the pill looks like and how long he would be on it, before dismissing him.
  • 5 months after his diagnosis, prescription and diet changes, Joe is doing amazing! He has freshened himself up, has started to exercise more and is starting to eat healthily! Good job Joe!
