- The second triumvirate was formed and for some time it worked. But after all, when has a nation thrived under multiple leaders. Augustus became sold of gaining sole control of power over Rome and looked at ways to defeat his biggest competitor, Marc Anthony. He was struck with a stroke of genius.
- Augustus is in front of the Senate asking them to give him resources to defeat Anthony.
- Your Honors, I humbly stand before you asking not to aid me, but the country.
- What do you have for us today?
- I have obtained very reliable and valuable intel that Marc Anthony has written up a will stating that when he will his power to Cleopatra and the Egyptians when he dies.
- Are your sure? This is outrageous, this cannot be
- Augustus was lying. At least for the first part. Anthony had not written up a will and he certainly did not decide to give land to Egyptians when he died. But, he was unfortunate enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time as he was very close with Cleopatra
- It is with displeasure that I tell you this, but I believe this to be true and the wellbeing of our nation comes before all.
- I thank you on the behalf of the citizens of Rome. We shall begin right away.
- After deliberation, the Senate has decided that we will give you the army and navy to defeat Anthony and restore the pride into our nation.
