- Finding the way out with Doon and Ibrahim (chapter 14)
- An important run (chapter 15)
- Lina and Doon wanted to solve the message but they couldn't solve it so they went to Clary to see if she could help them solve the message. Clary solved the message and it says egress which means the exit out. Lina and Doon looked at each other and were shocked.
- Lina talking to the guards (Chapter 16)
- Doon and Ibrahim went to the Pipework's and we were searching for the exit out of City Of Ember and finally we found it. We ran back to Lina and told her that we found the way out, Ibrahim and Doon took Lina to the way out and it was jaw dropping for Lina.
- Where the river goes (Chapter 18)
- Doon announced that he found the way out, then while going back where he found the way out of the city he saw a creature. The creature’s wings were stuck flat on its body, then Doon saw his green worm had become a moth with light brown wings.
- Lina escaped and wrote a message (Chapter 20)
- Lina wanted the mayor to go to prison but the guards know what's happening with the mayor so they decided to kept their mouth shut and keep it a secret. Lina and Doon are wanted because the guards said there were telling lies.
- The river lead Doon, Lina and Poppy to a path and Poppy found a book covered with greenish slippery but they didn't get any information of where to go so they keep on following the path.
- Lina wanted someone to know that she escaped but she forgot to tell anyone so she decided to write a note and through it to a hole and Mrs. Murdo finds the message.
