Storyboard Text

  • Parents with young children, like Jon and Stacy, struggle to find available and affordable childcare when they need it.
  • Our business model creates a network of reliable care providers with various rates, credentials, and availability. Parents can build out their network based on personal experience with a sitter, recommendations from friends and family, etc.
  • Similarly, care providers of all circumstances and backgrounds will be able to integrate into these networks, manage their business, access to ongoing care education, and 24/7 support, including safety assistance.
  • I'm Jenny. I have a full-time job but I love kids and would like to earn some extra money!
  • I'm Nate. I'm in school looking for work with a flexible schedule.
  • I'm Sanji. I'm a retired teacher and I would love to watch other kids the same age as my grandchildren so they can play together.
  • Week of July 5th
  • Our other customers are daycare centers and child-focused businesses. Daycares are looking to advertise care services and availability to parents. Child-focused businesses are looking to advertise activities for children of all ages and find qualified care providers who are looking for part-time or summer work.
  • Are you good with kids? Looking for summer fun that also pays? Look no further!
  • Infant Care Certified
  • Care providers will have access to on-demand education, training courses, and local classes (where available) that provide certifications. Additionally, our customers will have the same 24/7 support offered to care providers.
  • First Aid Certified
  • CPR Certified
  • Our primary customer target is parents of young children, however, we will ultimately have four customer segments. The other three are daycare providers, non-daycare providers, and child-focused businesses.
  • Our business model is a multi-sided platform, meaning all segments are required to make the model work.
  • A mobile app! This will be the most common channel mode, since most parents own a smart phone and it is the most accessible.
  • Welcome to Rover Sitter!
  • Welcome to Rover Sitter!
  • All services will also be available via our website. While this channel will be accessed less frequently this will be the most common channel to initiate account set-up.

  • Finally, we'll deliver helpful resources and guides to customers via email subscription services.
  • You've got mail!
  • So we know about the value proposition we will deliver to our customers. How will we deliver this to them?
  • So, how will we make money?
  • While there will be some overlap in revenue streams by customer segment, each uniquely contributes to the overall success of the model.
  • Parents of young children will pay subscription (trades) and usage fees (one-off transactions)
  • Babysitters, other parents, and part-time care providers will pay transactional fees to use the platform, as well as fees associated with background checks and any certifications completed through the site.
  • Daycare providers will pay subscription fees to have access to the platform and its local networks, as well as referral commissions, and fees associated with advertising on the platform.
  • Child-focused businesses will pay referral commisions, as well as fees associated wtih advertising on the platform.
  • Background Check Office
  • Our solution will only succeed with a state of the art web and mobile experience so we will need to have strong technology infrastructure
  • OK
  • Maintaining positive and strong relationships with consumers, partners, and vendors will require a strong human resource department to hire the right people
  • Not OK
  • Perhaps most importantly, we have the Rover brand and resource mix to leverage for our solution!
  • Rover HQ
  • Safety is the most important part of childcare so we will partner with companies that provide comprehensive background checks for all providers on our platform.
  • Another are of importance will be education and training of providers so we will partner with companies who can ensure our providers are best of class.
  • We want to hit the ground running with some of the best providers so we are considering a partnership or acquisition of babysitting service Bambino
