  • Is a scientist and astronaut in the Apollo program. Cunningham received his B.A. with honors in 1960, and his M.A. with distinction in 1961 , both in physics, from the University of California,Los Angeles. In 1963 he was one of the third group of astronauts selected by N.A.S.A.

  • Is a world renowned cardiac surgeon. While in the military he helped develop Mobil army surgical hospitals and the Veteran's Administration Medical Research System. He developed parts for the heart-lung machine. He was one of the 1st doctors to perform a coronary artery bypass surgery. He was a pioneer in the development of the artificial heart, the 1st to use an artificial heart pump.

  • Was the 1st woman to become a pediatric surgeon in Texas. In her work she conducted research on congenital defects, burn treatment ,spleen reparation, and the prevention of hepatitis.
  • Is the owner of dell computers which is the leading seller of personal computers. In 1992, aged 27, he became the youngest CEO of a company ranked in fortune magazine's list of the top 500 corporations. In 2017, in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, Dell, a Houston native, pledged $36 million to relief efforts.
  • Made drill bits for the oil industry and made much of his money in Texas oil. It is unlikely that he actually invented the two-cone roller bit but his legal experience helped him in understanding that its patents were important for capitalizing on the invention.
