  • Slide: 1
  • Video shots of me skating around town and me narrating some introduction about the objective
  • Slide: 2
  • Zach, who loved to skate wanted to find out how high he could ollie off the ground...
  • How high can I ollie???
  • Slide: 3
  • I talk in the video what I am saying in the bubble
  • If I knew how high I could ollie, then I could know for sure what I can jump over
  • Slide: 4
  • I will show me setting up the tripod in the video as well as ground level shots
  • Ill set my phone up so that I can analyze the video
  • Slide: 5
  • I will put sticks down to help gauge the scale
  • If I put some sticks down I can help gauge the proper model for the trajectory of the skateboard in the air
  • I have to measure from the back wheels because it is where I am jumping from
  • Slide: 6
  • Video of successful ollie that I will use for the rest of the project
  • Oh yeah!
  • Slide: 7
  • I will say what is in the bubble in the video
  • Time to analyze the video and see how much height I got. I just need to uplaod it.
  • Slide: 8
  • I just gotta upload the video and scale it
  • Quick video of me analyzing the video from the back
  • Slide: 9
  • I need to find the correct model for the trajectory of the skateboard so that I can find the maxiumum and the area under the curve
  • Video of a screenshot that I am analyzing to find the equation and scale
  • Slide: 10
  • I will have a scene where I present my findings and calculations from the video
  • After scaling the video and finding the correct equation for the parabola using the vertex form, I can now solve for the maximum using calculus. I will take the derivative of the equation and set it to zero as the slope of the tangent line for a parabola at the vertex is zero. I can then also find the area under the curve to see how much total distance I covered.
  • HERE I WILL REVEAL MY MAX HEIGHT
  • Slide: 11
  • Once I know how high I can jump, I will attempt to jump over an object that exact height to see if my calculations were correct
  • My calculations were correct!
  • I will add some attempt videos to the end of the video whether or not I make the jump
  • Slide: 12
  • I will end the video by having some videos of me skating around town with a narration of the summary of the video and what it means
