on September 6 1781 the slave ship Zong, aboard there were 17 white crewman and 440 African slaves

The captain, collingwood, decided to sail the other way because since the slaves are sick, no one will want them

Collingwood and other ship officers agreed that no one wants the sick slaves, his plan was to throw them overboard so that the owners could claim back the money they used
After the argument that the officers and the captain had they have decided that they will throw the slaves overboard or chained them and throw them to the sea and some know what is coming so they throw themselves
the owners of the slaves were asking for their money back, the enssurance company didn´t want to give the money back, so the case went back to court
