  • "We can never be satisfied as long as long as the negro is a victim of the unspeakable horrors of police brutality.(King)

  • The people are showing respect and discipline to each other. This is ethos because this shows what MLK was trying to get through to the people. Also even though they are not on each others side at this point in time they are still equal.

  • "We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence."(King)
  • People need to work together in the rebellion of police brutality against blacks. If they don't all work together the police brutality will not be stopped. This is pathos because its really sad that black people were beaten for no reason but their skin color.

  • "We must never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities."(King)
  • Blacks were not allowed into some places that whites were. They should have been equal. This is logos because its a fact that the whites and blacks were not equal in most situations.

  • "The negro is not free."(King)
  • Protesting is essential for the black people. There cannot be violence that comes out of it like these people are demonstrating. They need to be peaceful and meaningful. This is ethos because it was key to gaining respect from everybody.
  • Everybody needs to work for there rights. They shouldn't accept their situation. This is pathos because its sad that they didn't have the same rights as whites just because of their skin color.
  • This discrimination is unfair. A chunk of their lives were taken in jail. This is logos because is is a fact that black people were put in jail for crimes they did commit or weren't responsible for.
