- The assassination of Archduke Franz was one of the main events that led up to WWI. The assassins that killed Archduke Franz was a terrorist group called the Black Hand. On June 28, 1914 there had been multiple attempts in assassinating Archduke. The reason to why this event was one of the important events that led up to WWI was because the Austria-Hungary government saw this as a direct attack.

- The sinking of the Lusitania was an important event in WWI. The Lusitania was a Luxurious British Cruz Ship. The Lusitania Cruz Ship Departed from New York on May 1, 1915, on its way to England. People struggled to get off the ship because of the tilting. There were 159 Americans boarding the ship at the time and only 31 survived. Many children died as well.

- This is proof of Germany's intent to stir up enemies against us at our very doors.

- In January of 1917 the British intercepted and decoded a telegram sent from German Foreign Secretary Arthur Zimmerman. They proposed that Mexico declared war on the U.S in order to get land (Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona). After Mexico denied President Wilson declared war on Germany.
