What a nice lake; I am sure am glad this lake will be here forever and nothing will ever change it.
Actually, it's likely that this lake will experience many changes as years pass through the process of erosion. Erosion is when water, wind, or other natural conditions gradually wear away rocks and sediment of all types, even the area around this lake.
What!? Nooooooo! Well, at least this erosion is contained to only this lake.

Sorry, but erosion can occur even in places like this with a scarce amount of water through mass wasting. Even without significant sources of wind or rushing water, gravity is more than enough to cause rocks and soil to fall, slide or flow. This is mass wasting, and it can displace a huge amount of terrain just like these mountains.
Nooooo! This is horrible!I sure am glad this only affects places in nature and has no effect on humans.
You are gonna flip when you hear this.

No, I won't believe it. How could this place possibly be affected by erosion?
This is the worst day of my life. At least towns and houses are safe from this awful erosion.

Beaches are some of the most affected areas by erosion. You see, as temperatures increase from climate change, glaciers melt faster and fall into the ocean, causing water levels to rise. This increased water level causes sand to be easily carried away by the tide, which causes beaches to shrink over time. This can affect how easy it is to enter the water which can hurt tourism.
