- Articles of confederation had a poor government. Government for the constitution was not so great as they had just got done war and the start they had not mad many decisions for the people as well at themselves .
- Events to form the Constitution
- As well as a poor government , the constitution had no president. With no president there had been no ruler and this led to a downfall in the government. A president had not came until later on. From this it was complicated as the had constant meeting with all states.

- From the Romans the government had been inspired by how rules were back in this time period. From the Romans they got that citizens rule themselves through elected representatives. This was known as a republic.

- One main factor that came upon the government was the Declaration of Independence. The declaration of Independence was a document written to show the rights the people deserved. This was written my 3 men and signed by many men. This encouraged people to fight for what they wanted and needed.
- There had came a man who wrote the French Enlightenment. This written piece was to show Americans how government should be divided. Government came to this and created the Legislative,Executive,and Judicial branch.
- With much hassle there was discussed as if there should be slaves counted as the population. There was also a argument between Virginia and New Jersey. After much time this was finally closed with a constitution that was signed by 9 states.
