- You can't just tie me up like some slave, sister. Of course, you know I'll obey my ELDERS, but if you want anything from me you'll have to untie me first.
- Instead of flirting with all these guys at the party, why don't you tell me which one you like best?
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- Oh, WHATEVER! If you'd like I'll go work on getting them both for you myself since you seem to be unable to do so. Please just untie my hands!
- Who is it, Bianca?! Hortensio or Gremio?
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- SMACK!!!
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- Bianca won't tell me who she likes, Dad! We threw this party and all she does is flirt and lead these guys on! I'm gonna smack her again!
- Kate! Now, what is going on here, young lady?!
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- Dad, you always take HER side. She's your favorite, duh. I guess I'll go downstairs and finish off the bottle of vodka I snuck in. So tired of this crap.
- Kate you are taking this too far. No, no more drinking. You both have obviously had too much. Now go, Kate!
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- Uh! Dad! That's not even fair!
- Bianca, we both know your sister is hard to deal with, especially when she decides to drink, but just ignore her. Instead of chasing boys buckle down on the books, darling!
- Scene: BAPTISTA's home, KATE's room. Enter KATE and BIANCA. BIANCA's hands are tied.
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- While the sisters are bickering Baptista (their father) is making his way up the stairs.
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- Well, this is just fantastic! I have to warn you Kate is something different alright, fiery to be exact. Thank you, Bianca will be pleased!
- KATE is enraged at BIANCA's remark and smacks her in the face.
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- Baptista, my friend Cambio here is also a tutor, maybe you would want to consider him also as Bianca's tutor?
- BAPTISTA enters. He unties BIANCA and KATE runs around her room chasing BIANCA.
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- BAPTISTA breaks up the chasing and separates BIANCA from KATE. KATE leaves.
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- I know, right? I heard some guy say he wanted to date me and Dad just went for it, except to warn him that I'm "fiery". He likes you so much better, I hope someone can love me that much someday.
- BIANCA and BAPTISTA speak. BIANCA runs off embarrassed.
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- Yeah yeah, I can handle her.
- GREMIO enters with LUCENTIO, dressed as CAMBIO; PETRUCHIO enters with HORTENSIO, disguised as the tutor LICIO; TRANIO, disguised as LUCENTIO, enters with BIONDELLO.
- PETRUCHIO finds BAPTISTA, explains that he wants to date Kate, and introduces LICIO, a tutor (really HORTENSIO) to help with his daughters upcoming SAT exam.
- Listen, sir, I'd love to date Kate. She seems different than all the other girls. By the way, I think Bianca is in need of something different too, meet my friend, Licio, a tutor.
- GREMIO presents LUCENTIO (dressed as CAMBIO) to BAPTISTA as another option for a tutor. TRANIO (disguised as LUCENTIO) wants to also be able to tutor BIANCA and offers himself.
- Baptista, don't settle for Cambio, my name is Lucentio and I'm well known for my tutoring skills. Perhaps I would make a better fit. SATs are so important to Bianca's future.
- BAPTISTA explains his gratitude for all of the help with BIANCA.
- Well, gentlemen I'm glad that you all are so willing to help with Bianca's exam scores. Lucentio, I've heard your name mentioned before and would like some confirmation on your tutoring skills from your employer.
- BIANCA and KATE talk in BIANCA's room.
- Would you listen to Dad outside? He acts like we don't have windows. I can't believe he's more concerned about my exam than the fact that we've been drinking.
- BAPTISTA's living room. BAPTISTA and PETRUCHIO discuss KATE.
- Listen, Petruchio, you seem like a nice guy, but Kate is really a handful, she argues about everything, she's vicious to her sister, and if you have any alternative intentions with her, I won't have to punish you, she will.
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- Kate you are so full of yourself. I love you and so does Dad, but you are so busy focusing on the negative all the time that's why no one likes you.
- Wow! Thanks, Bianca. You always know how to cheer me up! I hope you fail your SAT exam! I'm off to get another drink!
- Taming the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- Dad! She's at it again! Going off on me! I swear she almost hit me again!
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- Oh, so you're Petruchio...the one my father just gladly accepted to date me, like he's in such a rush to get me out of the house more.
- Yup that's me. So I guess now that we're dating you're gonna have to cool that whole "being angry at the world" act. It's getting old. Plus, seems like you'll have lots to celebrate...a new boyfriend and your dumb sister passing her SAT exams.

- Yes, officer. My sister is threatening to kill a man. Please get here, now!
- Kate, put the knife down. This is a good man. He likes you. You should be happy. Just let yourself be happy for once, like Bianca.
- That's right, Dad. You're soooooo right. A man will make me happy. Maybe I want my father to love me like he does my sister, maybe I want to be loved!
- Umm...I gotta go.
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- Bianca, this will be your new tutor once his credentials are verified. His name is Lucentio.
- BIANCA's Room. KATE and BIANCA talk.
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- BAPTISTA's living room. Enter BIANCA. PETRUCHIO is intrigued by her complaint and wants to find KATE so he can pursue her.
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- PETRUCHIO finds KATE in the entry way. KATE and PETRUCHIO argue.
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- KATE screams violent language at PETRUCHIO threatening to kill him. PETRUCHIO smugly laughs at everything she says, infuriating KATE more.
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- BAPTISTA enters. KATE and BAPTISTA argue while the cops are called and PETRUCHIO exits.
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- BAPTISTA sends KATE to go to her room. KATE exits. BAPTISTA takes BIANCA's phone and introduces BIANCA to LUCENTIO.
- Taming of the Shrew: Act II, Scene I
- KATE's room. KATE calls her best friend.
- I'm so done with my Dad and his favoritism. I just had a blowout with some guy he tried to set me up with and after he broke it up he just sends me to my room and moves on to Bianca and her tutor. We all know that she's just going to flirt her way through tutoring. I can't stand being here anymore.
- BAPTISTA ends the party. Everyone exits, except LUCENTIO.
- OKAY! Everyone, the party is over! Please leave my house accordingly as the cops are on their way!
- Bianca, you're beautiful, I'm going to help you pass those exams, but you're going to have to keep your crazy sister away, okay?
- BIANCA's room. LUCENTIO (TRANIO) flirts with BIANCA.
- KATE stands outside BIANCA's room. KATE hears BIANCA's response to LUCENTIO (TRANIO).
- Listen, Lucentio. Kate is crazy, but she cares about me. I heard that Petruchio called me dumb and that's why she threatened him. I only called the cops because I was scared she'd really hurt him. My Dad does favor me, I never thought I would admit that, but I saw it today. If you can't handle her then you can't have me.
- LUCENTIO (TRANIO) exits. KATE enters.
- Bianca! Thank you. Just when I lost faith in this family you proved me wrong. I know you like Lucentio so keep him as your tutor. As crazy as it sounds I actually like Petruchio. I think I'm gonna go for it. I'm still mad at Dad, but I'm glad I have you.
