- "Do I not in plainest truth Tell you, I do not, nor I cannot love you?"
- Demetrius and Helena's love is kind of complex and up and down. The story starts off with the love being more one sided. Helena loves Demetrius but, Demetrius loves the idea of being married to Hermia. This causes Helena to kind of beg for his love. By the end of the story though, the couple ultimately works out and end up making arrangements to get married to one another

- Demetrius and Hermia's love was all one sided. Demetrius was promised Hermia's hand in marraige and Hermia has a completely different set of plans in mind for this. This makes Demetrius beg for her love in a way.
- " Look, where thy love comes;yonder is thy dear. Hermia. Sweet, do not scorn her so."
- Lysander and Hermia's love is the closest thing to true love that we can see in the story. Their love is present without having to be spelled or forced into it. Even though this is true and apparent in the story they face just as many complications as if they were forced into loving each other. Their love is forbidden by Hermia's father. Even with this issue, by the end of the book they join in with Demetrius and Helena with the idea to go off with them and also get married.

- In this love square it is caused because of mending with relationships with the love potion. Puck made a mistake of putting the love potion on the wrong person causing many arguments between the 4 and causing the two friends of Hermia and Helena to turn on each other and start to accuse each other of giving themselves an unfair advantage to make the boys love them.
- To start off the story of Oberon and Titiana's "love" we open hearing an argument that the two are having about a changling boy that Titiana has in her possession. Oberon wants the changling boy to become his knight and Titiana wants the boy to just simply stay with her. Oberon wants to put a spell on his wife that makes her fall in love with the first thing that she wakes up and sees. Throughout the story we start to see a small resolution throughout the story line. In the end they become more powerful together and their love grows more together even though this love is partly artificial.

- Bottom and Titiana
- Bottom and Titiana's love is very accidental. After Puck places the cupid flower juice on Titiana's eyes she wakes and sees bottom walking by. This makes her automatically fall in love with him. Bottom falls in love with Titiana because she is beautiful. This love is cut short when Oberon appears again and remove Titiana from Bottom.
