- Jesus was fasting for forty days and forty nights, He was starving. But then the devil came to Jesus to tempt him.
- "If you are the Son of God tell these stones to become bread!"
- The devil said:
- "Man shall not live on bread alone but on every word that comes out from the mouth of God!"
- Jesus refused and replied:
- "Jump of" to prove you are the Son Of God the devil said.
- "It also says do not put the Lord your God in a foolish test!"
- Then the devil took Jesus toJerusalem and had Him standon the highest point of thetemple.
- "Get out of here Satan! the scripture says "Worship only the Lord God and obey Him.
- Next the devil took Jesus to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him all the nations and all the glory of the world. The devil said: "If you will only kneel and worship me and I will give it all to you"
- Then Satan finally went away, and the angels came and cared Jesus. And Jesus returned to Galilee with the Holy Spirit's power.
