  • The discrimination occurring in Iran is absolutely unacceptable!! Although overtime there was progress in some areas, we still are not granted many basic human rights. The Iranian supreme leader claims that gender equality in the Islamic republic is unacceptable. The inequality towards these poor women is absolutely unbearable and something needs to be changed. Not only are we controlled in public, but we are also are controlled in our domestic affairs! Some change has to be done.
  • In 1963, these Iranian Women's rights movements were able to gain a significant change. It's been a long battle but we were finally able to gain a right to vote and change done with our education and health care. If this change could be done we still have hope to fight for or basic human rights and decrease the discrimination that we have to face every day and the self consciousness we have to go through to simply buy something from the market.
  • Even at a young age we weren't able to do such things...
  • Your brother can go himself, you know you have to stay home to do house chores for your future husband and besides you aren't allowed to see your brother play sports either.
  • Can I go play some sports with my brother and friends since I finished my chores?
  • I walk out feeling uneasy about many things.
  • Will I be publicly humiliated by the police if I wore something wrong?
  • Since by law it is legal, I wonder how much my husband will control me and my actions..
  • Why don't women have basic rights, it is something we have to stand up against, I cant stand being controlled by the government!
  • Will I face a physical attack or even prosecution if I do something wrong by mistake?
  • We always need to be aware of such trivial things in both our public and private lives...
  • We don't have basic freedom even when it comes to leaving the country without my husband's permission to playing sports!
  • Restrictions with employment, marriage, citizenship, how we dress, how we act, and so much more
  • Still, there are many restrictions with domestic affairs
  • We can't be struggling with these unacceptable standards and we have to make a move! We are not going to be controlled by the government or our husbands, we will have our own freedom and rights. Society should come as one to go against the discrimination against women for political. employment and personal rights. We need to go against the marginalization and violence we receive with these unfair standards. We shouldn't be held back for peacefully advocating for women's basic rights. We shall gain a sense of gender imbalance regardless of the outcome!!
