- Everything’s going great lately! My job’s busy, people are spending like crazy, and everyone’s talking about how strong the economy is. It feels like we’re on top of the world right now.
- That’s because we’re at the peak of the business cycle. The economy’s at its highest point jobs, spending, and production are all booming. But it usually doesn’t last long before things start to slow down.
- Slide: 2
- Things have been really slow lately. My hours got cut, prices are low, and no one seems to be spending money. It feels like everything’s stuck at the bottom.
- Wait, seriously? That sounds like we’re in a trough the lowest point of the business cycle! I can’t believe it’s gotten that bad. But hey, the good news is once you hit the bottom, the only way to go is up!
- Slide: 3
- Yeah, that’s because we’re in the expansion phase of the business cycle. The economy’s growing, businesses are doing better, and more jobs are opening up. It’s a good sign things are moving in the right direction.
- Lately things have really been picking up! My job’s hiring new people, sales are up, and it feels like everyone’s starting to spend more again.
