- Because Harold Godwinson took the throne Harald Hardlrada was fuming with rage and wanted the throne to himself so he invaded from Norway with 10,000 men .

- Harold Godwinson set up a team the fyrd and housecarls who were the best of the best trained professionals but the fyrd were just normal people who were not trained and when they were not fighting they had normal jobs. And this team travelled 180 miles.
- Harald Hardrada makes huge mistakes
- Before they could get to hardrada they had to deal with an axeman with strong will power. Surprisingly he fought well but that didn’t stop the house of carls one of the soldiers went under the bridge and killed him with a sword to the crotch OUCH!!

- He made two mistakes he thought Harold Godwinson and his team were still in the north the second mistake was that his whole team took all there armour off which means there were really vulnerable to an attack thinking that he was still in the north they attacked

- Harald dies by an arrow to the throat now thats gotta hurt! but this is important because he left all his men behind with no orders on what to do.
