Pardoner's tale
Storyboard Text
- Drinking, gluttony, gambling are sins. Swearing is even worse than murder!
- Your friend has been killed by Death.
- Lets kill Death!
- I am old but Death will not have my life!
- The Pardoner tells 3 drunk men that they are sinful.
- Their servant tells them an old friend of their's has been killed by a stealthy thief named Death.
- We will look like thieves if people see us with this gold in the daylight.
- Angry and drunk, the 3 men decide to go kill Death.
- The 3 men come across an old man, who says he has been waiting on Death but Death will not have his life.
- Okay!
- Lets kill him when he gets back and take his share!
- The 3 men ask the old man where Death is and the old man told them he left Death under a tree.
- I could be rich if I took all the gold for myself!
- When the men arrive at the tree they find gold under it, not Death.
- I need poison!
- They realize they can't carry the gold into town during the day without looking like thieves.
- The youngest of the 3 gets chosen to go into town for bread and wine. While the other 2 watch the gold.
- Good job!
- While the youngest is away, the other 2 plan to kill the youngest when he returns and take his share of the gold.
- When in town, the youngest realizes that he can kill the other 2 and take all the gold for himself and be the richest person in town.
- In town, the youngest buys poison from an apothecary and puts the poison in wine for the other 2.
- Okay!
- When the youngest returns he is killed by the other 2 men.
- In celebration the 2 guys drink the poisoned wine brought by the youngest.
- Thanks!
- As a result all 3 end up dead under the tree.
