Storyboard Text

  • Part 1: The Cyclops Cave
  • There is a cyclops on the island afar.
  • Part 2: Polyphemus Returns
  • Can we just steal and cheese and leave
  • Part 3: Trapped
  • You are a fool and weak for beleaving in the gods
  • A crew of sailors set ashore at an island hearing goats and sheep. The speaker and their crew go on the ship to go see if the cyclops are friendly or nonwelcoming. The speaker and their crew boarded the ship quickly to sit down and start rowing, when they reached the shore they saw a deep cave, they also saw large herds of sheep and goats next to large different varieties of trees, and they saw a giant that had isolated itself to his own place far away.
  • Part 4: Offering the Cyclops Wine
  • The speaker and 12 men set into the cave concerned because the giant does not know law or order and would hurt them on the spot. The speaker and the men go to the giant's home and try to figure out if he is friendly or a person that wants to be left alone. The speaker and his men go to a corner and watch the giant do his work and he sees them so he asks them if they have come looking for trouble or a friend.
  • Part 5: Blinding the Cyclops
  • The speaker is afraid of him but still he tells him that they are off course and need to get home, that they trust in the gods that they will make it home. The giant tells the speaker that he is a fool for telling him he is scared and puts his faith in the gods, then he tells him he could defeat the gods if he wanted, he also asked him where his ship was. The speaker tells the giant that their ship had crashed and was on the shore in pieces. The giant attacks the crew and brutally tears apart and eats them in front of the rest of the crew, the speaker made a plan to kill the giant but they could not move the stone door so they waited.
  • Part 6: Escape
  • The giant did his duties with the animals and relit the fire, but as he does this the speaker has a fire for vengeance for his men that were brutally murdered by this giant. The speaker has made a plan to kill the cyclops with the help of 4 of his men. When the giant returned he did the rest of his duties and then attacked 2 more soldiers eating them in front of the rest of the crew, after he's done the speaker gives the giant a bowl of wine to drink after the meal of flesh. The giant takes the drink and drinks all of it.
  • The speaker gave the giant 3 different bowls of wine and he drank all of it, as they talked the speaker asked for a gift in return for the wine and he said he will eat him last. The speaker took a large stake and put it into the fire while encouraging his men to help and vengeance took them over as they helped sharpen it and hoist it into his eye, covering it with blood, and a scream echoing the cave forever. The friends of the giant come from the neighbor and ask him if he is ok and he tells them that he is trying to be killed and they ask if he is sick and is needing to pray to Poseidon.
  • As they were leaving on the ram they were on the undersides of them to stay hidden in plain sight. The giant felt the tops of the ram to feel if there were any people on the top, he felt nothing and as the last ram left the cave he gave a speech about how he was usually the first one to everything he was concerned that the ram was depressed and grieving over his master's eye. As the speaker helped his men down from the ram they were weeping for their lost friends and the speaker would not let them so they could help with the sheep and get them on the ship, and as they leave the speaker mocks the giant telling him that the gods had their revenge on him.
  • The gods have had their revenge on you, fool.
