- Matthew 8: 23-24: Then Jesus went down to the shore and got into a fishing boat...When they were about halfway across a terrible storm came up. Within minutes the powerful waves began to wash over their boat, and soon it was in danger of sinking. Now Jesus was so tired he had fallen asleep.

- Matthew 8: 25 - 26 Jesus got up and said, "Why are you afraid? Don't you believe that God is watching over us? Then He commanded the wind and the waves to stop. And they did!

- Matthew 8: 27When the Disciples saw this they were speechless. They said to each other, "What kind of man is this who can tell the wind and waves to stop, and they do?"
