- Nate, Addy, Cooper, Bronwyn, and Simon were all in detention for having random phones that weren't supposed to be in their possessions. A car crash outside distracts them, and Simon died after what looked like a terrible allergic reaction.

- The court is very forgiving toward impressionable young people who act hastily when they have a lot to lose, especially when they help us uncover the truth.Simon’s family deserves the truth, don’t you think
- The police found out that there was a large amount of peanut oil in Simon's water cup. This immediately put the four other students as the main suspects. Dirt was found on all of the minors.
- Did you kill Simon?
- Information and rumors were all leaked about the four, and there were anonymous posts on a blog that stated that the murder was planned. At first, the four were weary of each other, but they grew closer as they spent time together. Some notable bonds are Nate and Bronwyn, and Addy and Janae, Simon's only friend.
- Bayview Police refused to comment, other than to say that new evidence provides probable cause to charge Nate Macauley, the only one of the Bayview Four with a criminal record, with Simon Kelleher’s murder.
- Nate was arrested, and Bronwyn scrambled to prove him innocent as she developed romantic relations with Nate. Bronwyn started digging, and found out that the crash during the murder was staged.
- The group came together during a meet-up and pieced together all the information they had with friends. They solved the mystery; Addy later confronted Janae and finds out that she was forced through coercion. Addy got chased down by one of the real masterminds and was almost silenced, but Cooper saved the day with a right hook.

- I’ve been an idiot. Being arrested messed with my head. I thought you’d be better off without me in your life so I just…made that happen. I’m sorry.

- Nate is freed, the killer is caught, and everything starts to settle down. Nate breaks up whatever he had with Bronwyn as he didn't believe that they were meant to be now that the drama died out. He finally comes to his senses and realizes his mistake 3 months later. Nate comes to apologize, and they start to rebuild their relationship, slowly, but surely.
- You really hurt me, Nate. You can’t just ride here on your motorcycle with… all this and expect everything to be okay. It’s not.
