- The mistake of Harald Hadrada
- In the year 1066 Harold Godwinson had became king but Two candidates was also set to be King; Harald Hadrada and William of Normandy. Harold soon became king but the other two was unhappy so they decided to attak. Harald Hadrada attaked first at Yorkshire with a total of 10,000 men in order to become king
- The Death of Harald Hadrada
- What! This is quite unexpected, why must they attak right now?! We must set out right now or we're doomed
- before the attak form Harald, Harold suspected that William was going to attak first which he was correct but due to the bad weather William had to delay the attak. After waiting 2 seasons and no signs of attak Harold sent his troops back but the min he has sent them back Harald had attack. So they started marching and in 9 days they reached with walking about 187 miles and collecting the fyrds and housecarls along the way. housecarls=trained pro soldiers full time. Fyrd=part time unpaid soldiers mostly farmers
- When the day Harold had arrive Harald had set down camp and sent the troops apart, and due to that his defenses was down, when Harold started attaking, the men left without armour. Even though a axemen of Harald had cut down 40 men one of them sneaked below the bridge and struck his spear throught the bridge and killed the axemen. when they left the camp without armour thier defenses were poor and just due to that they lost and got sent back with a truce to never attak again.
- The death of Harald Hardada was important because therefor without a king his troops were free and doesn't take orders anymore so there for Harold's troop had won, they celebrated but in the mist of it, from the north William's troops had started to attak so thier celebration had to wait and went on marching to William to start to fight again
- Sir we just recieved information that Willian of Normandy is attaking and we must head there now!!!!
