- Greetings, I am Franz Joseph Haydn, one of the most prolific and prominent composers of the Classical period. My parents are Mathias Haydn and Maria nee Koller and I also have two brothers, Michael and Johann Evangelist Haydn.

- Well, of course my darling, for I have not seen a baby this cute.

- Son, that's wonderful but you know I'm not musically inclined enough to read music.

- He was born on March 31, 1732, in Rohrau, Austria.

- His father was a wheelwright or also known as the maker and repairer of wheels while his mother was a cook at the palace of Count Harrach.

- Franz’s parents could not read music but they still supported him in his musical career.
- Franz’s parents send him to the Frankh household in order for him to develop a musical career.
- Franz’s parents decided to send him to their relative Johann Matthias Frankh. Franz was now living 12km away from his parents, living a difficult life in the Frankh household.
