  • The carbon dioxide is taken into plants from the atmosphere and is mixed with water to make glucose, which will be energy for the plants.

  • Animals will eat the plants and will use that energy. That Glucose will be broken down in the animal, back to CO2 and water. some Carbon, however, will be in animal waste and will go into the ground.

  • The animal will release this CO2 back into the atmosphere by breaking down the glucose using cellular respiration and the animal exhaling CO2.
  • CO2
  • CO2 will also be released from the animal as waste, and the waste will decompose into the ground, and then it will be brought under the earth's surface and turned into fossil fuels.
  • Fossil fuels
  • The fossil fuels, such as coal or oil are burned and the Carbon is released from the fossil fuels and is back into Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
  • The carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is moved into the ocean and sinks to the bottom and becomes sediment.
