In that case I can help you understand the process
Hey XYZ.I want you to work on BTKM as a part of your project.
That's great!I would love to learn and get my hands on it.
Sure ABC!
Well......So shall we start now itself?
Yes ABCNow you can start working on this.Good luck!!!!
Thank you XYZ. I think this pretty much covers the things I need to know.....
Sure XYZ.......
2 important sides of BTKM are Demand side and Supply side
Absolutely yes!!!No that you have understood the basics, we will break for today and continue after 1 day
So the Demand side is where the need for transport is seen and supply side is the availability of means of transport.Am I right?
Hello XYZ....Hope you understood the basics of BTKM from our previous discussion
That's wonderful......Lets get started then!
Hello XYZ. I understood the overview of it and looking forward to understand more.....
Yes these aspects are considered and three cases are defined. They are:Case 1: When a certain or amount of products [T] is transported always to the same destination, tonne kilometres are calculated by multiplying the production by the one-way trip distance [km].Case 2: In case of multiple destinations, the tonnes transported to each destination are multiplied by the corresponding distances and resulting tonne kilometers are then summed up.Case 3: If the freight tonnes transported is not known, tonne kilometres can be estimated by multiplying average load weight by one-way trip distance.
As per Lipasto Unit emissions in Finland, tonne kilometres(TKM) are calculated separately for each trip by multiplying distance travelled[K] by tonnes of goods [T] transported. Tonne kilometres for each trip are then summed up.
Will different destinations and a possibility that measure of goods not known be considered here?
