  • About my bill: My bill idea is going to bring justice to the unfair salary that public school teachers receive. Public school teachers get paid every two weeks but since their salary isn't the best, their paychecks only give them about $1,500 dollars every two weeks. This is unfair payment because there are teachers who have mortgages that cost that amount and sometimes more. Some teachers get two jobs just to not live paycheck to paycheck. We have to treat teachers better than this because they are teaching kids who can someday become the president.
  • "Four+ years of college for this""I will propose a bill idea to the House of Representatives to raise teacher salary".
  • $1,500
  • Congress
  • The Speaker of the House introduces the new idea for a bill to the House floor. The bill is then given to the subcommittee of the House to be edited, the edited bill is then debated on by the House's full committee. This could either kill the bill or allow it to continue and the full committee allows it. Once the House's full committee debates on the bill it is then passed to the rules committee of the House for them to make rules for the big debate. Before the big debate happens though, the bill has to be passed to the Senate for the process to repeat.
  • Once the process that passed through the House also passes through the Senate, the bill is passed to both the Full Senate and the Full House to debate and vote on the bill once again using the rules provided by the rules committee. Both the Senate and the House vote yes for the bill to pass and that is when the bill is sent to the conference committee to make a compromise bill which is also the final draft of the bill.
  • Once the Compromise Bill is written it is once again sent to both the Full House and Full Senate to finally debate and vote on the final draft of the bill. Both houses have a majority that agree public school teacher salary should be raised.
  • The bill has been sent to the President after careful consideration from the House and the Senate. The President looks the bill over and decides to sign the bill because he believes that teachers deserve a better salary.
