- The group of boy scouts is in the woods after being sent away by their parents. One of the problems that arises is the groups ability to find thier familys during the apocolypse. Some of the charachters are Robby, Johnny, lucas, and marvin. On page 140 the text states, most people are not coming back.'' The setting changes to the city when the zomibies force the scouts out of the forest.

- The junior braves leave the forest after the trip was over only to discover a ruined highway. The teens reach a church area and set up camp inside. While inside a strange noise alrms them and they go over to the window to investigate. while at the window Dylan whonis a minor charachter gets pulled out side with a zombie. on page 39 padre another minor charachter screams Dylan! as hes pulled out of the window.

- Johnny enters the school after leaving the others behind to find non infected people. Johnny quickly discovers that he is not the only person in the building. The others in the group are trying to find Johnny and they all end up in the school with him. The science teacher has a zombie in the science room that is being used as an experiment. The science teacher has blood from the zombies and is trying to inject the braves. On page 106 the science teacher saysjhonny I have to inject you for science.
- The junior braves are able to find a place to stay with another group of surviors.The Braves have a place to stay are still being swarmed by zombies. The teens and children are having to earn their keep by kleaning. The zombies are begining to breach the unitand the braves ae having to fight. Lucas states that door is not secure! as zombies are getting through.
- The junior braves defeat the zombie invading the facility with the help of each other. The braves discover that Padre is still alive and he takes care of the kids. The junior braves are able to evacuate the area after finding a car.The whole group of junior braves is together and finally able to be reunited with their familys. On page 208 the group sings, The other day I met a bear I met a bear.
