- I don't care to be groovy any more!
- Sunny rolls the Dice is set in Pennsylvania, in September 1977. Sunny is the main character. Sunny and her best friend, Deb, go looking at the magazines in the grocery store and there was a groovy test in 1 of them. Sunny takes the test, and gets not groovy. Sunny was not happy with this result so she kept on taking the groovy test to see if she was groovy. She would get barely groovy or not groovy. This did not make her happy.

- Sunny gets asked by Brain if she and Deb wanna play dungeons dragons that weekend. Sunny says yes, and Deb rolls with it. After playing DD for a bit, Deb thinks it's not groovy enough for her, but Sunny's having a great time. As Deb slowly backs out, Sunny starts to notice that deb is becoming more groovy. Because Deb did this, Sunny thought she should follow in her friend's footsteps, so she dropped out so she would not lose Deb.
- Resolution
- Sunny went to the Spring Fling with her groovy friends. She was excited to be groovy, but it did not feel right. She went to go do her make-up in the bathroom and heard her friend playing DD in the hallway. So she did what she thought was right and went to join her true friends in playing DD. She did not care about popularity and being groovy anymore, she did what she enjoys most.
- Sunny ran into the hall to join her friends in playing DD. Sunny said, WAIT!! LOOK UP!. She did this because in DD there is something called a giant spider that can kill you. The 3 boys looked up and saw the spider. They started to laugh and thought of all the other fun times they had together.
- In the end, Sunny was sitting on the bus with Deb. They were talking about saving up for Gloria Vanderbilt jeans but Sunny already spent her allowance on what makes her happy. She bought a fighter figurine like her DD character. Even though Deb wasn't that happy about it, Sunny was just being herself. Sunny didn't care about being groovy, she cared about being herself!!
