  • The U.A.E is a predominantly Islamic country with about 76% of the country practicing the belief of Islam. In the U.A.E marriage between Muslim women and non-Muslim men is forbidden. As you move around the capital city of the U.A.E Dubai, you see no evidence of religion other than Islam. Churches cannot display crosses, and those who preach publicly or try to persuade Muslims to convert can expect jail time and deportation.
  • The U.A.E is rated number 14 for body mass index by the world health organization surpassing countries like United States and Barbados. The U.A.E hunger statistics for 2018 was 3.10%, a 0.1% increase from 2017 which was 3.00 that was a 0.2 increase from 2016. With the U.A.E population starving in the slum outside there capital city the people are slowly starving more.
  • How The U.A.E takes care of there elderly is through retirement homes for the seniors/elderly these are also called elderly care centers. The U.A.E elderly populations welfare is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Community Development. The Ministry of Community Development is responsible to prepare policies that controls the social work in various fields and sectors and evaluating the inputs and outputs of development programs that benifetes the elderly.
  • The United Arab Emirates ranks 22 in the World Index of Healthcare Innovation, with an overall score of 44.68. Though that may sound good most of the U.A.E funding for Health Care are contributed largely more in the Capital city and health care is not as available to the poor in the slums. Health care is regulated by both the federal goverment and Emirati government. In 2018, healthcare expenditure was rated AED 50.3 billion though it's expected to decline in the following years due to less funding and political instability.
  • The U.A.E goverment is ran off of a Monarchy, Non partisian Democracy, Federal Monarchy, and a presidential system. The UAE is an authoritarian state. The UAE has been described as a "tribal autocracy" where the seven constituent monarchies are led by tribal rulers in an autocratic fashion. There are no democratically elected institutions, and there is no formal commitment to free speech.
  • The U.A.E safe drinking water system is high for water contamination in the slums despite these risks of water contamination, the water quality in the United Arab Emirates is adequate, and most experts predict that this sort of contamination is very unlikely but still possible and is monitored. The U.A.E is confronted with a serious depletion of their available water resources.
