Storyboard Text

  • In today's lesson we will be using Storyboard That to create a first draft of a narrative writing. We will use the tools on Storyboard That to help us create the details around setting, characters, and plot that need to be present in our final draft, typed narrative.
  • I think this lesson would be SAMR level augmentation or modification because this lesson could be done on paper, but I do believe that student work will be significantly changed because of the visualization of scene and characters before writing.
  • Today we will work on writing standard W4.3 where we will practice writing narratives.
  • How the digital tool will be used:-Students explore the site unrestricted creating 3 slides.-Students describe their slides to a peer and determine if they are progressive or separate.-Students adjust characters and setting in a way that their story could be told in a linear manner.
  • Students will essentially develop a narrative without even knowing it at first!
  • This allows for peer collaboration through the sharing of slides, the discussion of if the story makes sense, and in suggestions of change to link each of the 3 slides together.
  • This lesson will address my first goal!
  • It does so by creating an opportunity through technology.
