Storyboard Text
- The Adventures of Jessica & Vinnie
- A young girl named Jessica lived alone with her mother who was often not home and her dog named Vinnie. Since Jessica's mother was often absent Jessica spent the majority of her time with Vinnie. They enjoyed spending their time exploring the woods behind their home.
- One early morning as Vinnie and Jessica went on their daily walk through the woods, something caught Vinnie's attention and that is when Jessica heard the loud chirping of what sounded like an injured bird. They walk off of the trail and in a field they find a bird being attacked by a large snake.
- Before they even have enough time to process what was happening, the snake turned its attention away from the bird and onto Jessica. Frozen with fear she could not run from the snake, all she could do was stare directly into its eyes. Just when it seemed like the snake was about to jump towards Jessica, Vinnie comes running in front of Jessica to protect her.
- Vinnie began growling at the snake trying to scare it away, thankfully the snake was very scared of the large dog and began to slither away but not before it made one more attempt to get the bird. The bird although obviously injured, had enough strength to jump away from the snake just in time.
- Jessica, very gently picks up the injured bird and begins to inspect its injuries. The bird looked fine for the most part except for what appeared to be a broken wing. Jessica figured the only way to save the bird's life was to bring it home and nurse it back to health.
- Once Jessica and Vinnie brought the bird home, Jessica realized she could not keep it in her bedroom because if her mom found out she would be in a lot of trouble.
- After realizing she cannot keep the bird in her room, Jessica began brainstorming ideas of where she can keep it. She came to the conclusion that the best place to keep the bird is in her attic.
- Two Weeks Later
- A few weeks later the bird had begun to heal and Jessica had decided she would release it back into the wild the following morning.
- The Next Morning
- The next morning as Jessica and Vinnie were leaving to release the bird into the wild, Jessica's mom came home. She began asking questions about the bird, freaking out that it was inside her home.
- After her mom came home and caught her trying to release the bird, Jessica came clean about the entire situation and because she told the truth her mom was not mad. She was proud of her daughter for wanting to help the bird.
- Jessica's mom decided to go with Jessica and Vinnie to release the bird. But just as the bird began to fly away, it flew back and surprised Jessica, her mom and Vinnie.
- Hey! I can talk!
- The bird came back and revealed that it could talk the whole time. The bird was a magical bird that can talk and grant one wish to someone the bird felt was worthy of the wish. The girl was so excited about her wish that she blurted out "I wish you could talk Vinnie, so you can help me pick a wish."
- But it was too late and the bird granted Jessica's wish of Vinnie being able to talk.
- OMG, I can talk too!
